SpamCrusader is a corporate spam watch list. It includes large companies that either employ spammers directly, or whose major distributors / resellers employ spammers. This is based on the theory that large companies have enough influence over their distributors to control their marketing practices to a reasonable extent. SpamCrusader is solely sponsored by SpamButcher - an advanced client-side anti-spam filter. Spammers themselves come and go. Complaining to their ISP might get their account killed, but they'll get another. The reason the spam problem persists is that spamming is profitable. The companies on this list help make it profitable. Track your Google keyword ranking! How you use SpamCrusader is up to you. You may find a company on the list you currently do business with and are a satisfied customer. You might want to consider contacting their PR department and asking them to stop supporting spam. You may also find companies you were considering doing business with, but hadn’t decided to for sure yet. You may want to consider whether your money would end up in the pocket of a spammer. If it is clear that a company has a strong anti-spam policy, and is instructing the offending distributor to cease spamming, it –may- be considered for removal from the list.
